From the Desk of the Chief Administrator

Anthony Marzano
Chief Administrator

Since the first Enhanced 9-1-1 call was received in Will County on December 15, 1992, the Will County 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System has worked in partnership with dispatch centers, first responders, and the community to continuously provide high-quality emergency services to the residents, business, and visitors of Will County and surrounding areas.

The 9-1-1 System of today is a complex network of technology, information, and people all working together and which must be ready to respond to an emergency call at a moment’s notice. Under the oversight of the Will County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB), our office supports the Joliet Communications, Laraway Communications, and Western Will County Communications (WESCOM) Centers. These centers in turn provide services to 54 public safety agencies across the County, serving a population of almost 700,000 and handling over 1.2 million emergency and non-emergency calls each year.

We hope our web site provides an informative look into your 9-1-1 services. We are happy to provide additional information, and offer various opportunities for public education and engagement. Please contact us via telephone or using the electronic form for further information and we will be happy to assist you.

My personal best regards,

Anthony Marzano, CEM

Chief Administrator
